Qigong classes at Old St Leonard’s Hall.
Qigong (pronounced “chee kung”) has endured since ancient times in China to remain a force for good health and well-being. It’s translation to ‘working with the life energy’ is a reference to how, through practice, we become more aware of the universal energy known as ‘Chi’ and how this can be developed to promote balance, coordination and inner peace.
Each Tuesday evening between 7pm – 8pm, we practice the standing postures and short sequences of movement within a supportive and non-competitive environment. Open to experienced and beginners alike, exercises are easy to follow and learn, requiring no special equipment; simply wear loose comfortable clothing and soft flat shoes.
Terms run for 4 – 6 weeks (cost equivalent to £8.50 per session). Taster sessions also available.
