Halloween
@ The Old St. Leonard’s Hall Studio
Doors open: 6:00 PM
Once upon a time, when the building works were nearly finished and the ground was still sprinkled with scraps, something magical began to happen. Among the leftover materials — bits of wire, pieces of piping, and forgotten odds and ends — an idea began to spin its web.
From this collection of cast-offs, a friendly spider was born. Crafted with care and imagination, it came to life in the skilled hands of Mike Kelly — a wonderful artist and puppeteer who sees stories where others see rubbish. Mike gathered what others had left behind and, with a touch of creativity, turned it into something full of character and charm.
Now, our friendly spider watches over the space it came from, reminding everyone who passes that even leftover things can become something extraordinary — all it takes is a little imagination.
As the moon climbs high and shadows dance upon the walls, our friendly spider stirs in its web, waiting for the night of trickle treats, laughter, and a little mischief.
You’re invited to join the celebration — a gathering of ghosts, ghouls, and good friends — where everyone brings a taste of their own magic! Come and share your favourite or most revolting vegetarian dish, whether it’s frightfully delicious or deliciously frightful. Pair it with your most sublime wine… or perhaps one that’s a little past its prime!
There’ll be dancing beneath the cobwebs, stories by candlelight, and plenty of happiness to go around. So dress in your spooky best, bring your curious creations, and join us for a night where even the strangest flavours have their moment to shine.
